Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like sometimes we can get all wound up on a busy day and forget to wait for direction from the Lord—we may jump in without listening for direction and get in His way with our own idea. Then we remember and promise to stop and listen before offering our own solution to a small problem (of course the big ones we’ll save for the Savior, right? That’s what we call him.)
For some reason it helps me to remember my place in the scheme of things to picture myself as a suit of clothes Jesus wears when He goes about His day. He opens his closet and decides I should work well for today’s projects. He mentions the list of errands we will do together that day. Maybe it sounds stressful or difficult and I squirm in discomfort, I was hoping for a day of fun—maybe a picnic or concert in the park. I open my mouth to complain; then stop!
Does the suit drive the car and determine the day or does the Owner who wears the suit?
